Born in Würzburg mezzo-soprano and pianist began her musical education at the age of 7. She graduated as a pianist, with honors of the Fryderyk Chopin Music High School in Gdansk. Dominika Kościelniak was training her voice at The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk under the supervision of Dariusz Paradowski. At the same time she was studying piano playing under the supervision of Bogdan Czapiewski. Dominika Kościelniak has studied in 2014 at the Musikhochschule Lübeck as an Erasmus student. She has developed her singing skills to Prof. Christiane Hampe and accompanying skills to Karola Theill and Inge Susann Römhild.
Currently she developes her singing skills at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin under the supervision of Stephan Rügamer and her piano playing skills under the supervision of Georg Sava.
Throughout her course of study she has already collaborated with many conductors: Robin Ticciati, Jakub Hrůša, Donald Runnicles, Jeremy Bines, Justin Doyle, Ivo Hentschel, Patrick Davin, Benjamin Goodson, Marcin Sompoliński, Krzesimir Dębski, Michael Gläser.
She performed as a soloist in many concert halls, for example Deutsche Oper Tischlerei, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Berliner Philharmonie (Lunch Konzert), Konzerthaus Berlin (Kleiner Saal), Warsaw Chamber Opera, The Polish Baltic Philharmonic or The Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot.
In 2018 Dominika Kościelniak gained Special Prize for Mozart Aria at the 5th Vocal Competition in Drezdenko.
In 2019 Dominika Kościelniak made her polish debut during Mozart Festival in “Zauberflöte” in Warsaw Chamber Opera as Zweite Dame and in “Le nozze di Figaro” as Barbarina. Few months later she was singing in the same opera house the role of Zofia in “Przerwana cisza” from Krzesimir Dębski. She followed with Bianca in B. Britten’s “Rape of Lucretia” with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin.
In 2017 Dominika Kościelniak gained the scholarship to sing with the Rundfunkchor Berlin. In the season 2017/2018 she started the collaboration with the Deutsche Oper Extra Chorus and in the season 2018/2019 with the Komische Oper Extra Chorus.
In the years 2009-2013 she has collaborated with great musicians in piano quartett and won the first price in The Chamber Music Competition in Gdynia and the third price in The Nationwide Chamber Music Competition in Warsaw.
She has been playing for many years in a piano duo with Sylwia Zakrzewska. They have taken part in the final round of the International Music Competition in Piano Duo in Lomianki. Moreover they have Performed on the International Piano Duo Festival in Gdańsk.
She attended singing masterclasses given by Thomas Quasthoff, Roberta Alexander, Marek Rzepka, Olga Pasiecznik, Matjaz Robavs, Ewa Iżykowska and Jolanta Janucik and piano masterclasses given by Alberto Nose, Waldemar Wojtal and Maja Nosowska (accompanying singers).
She has gained her acting skills in the courses given by Nino Sandow, Dorota Kolak, Gabriele Wiesmüller, Magdalena Boć and other actors and directors.
